Hotel Sobota was drafted as family type hotel already when the project had been drawn up. Its designer and architect Ing. arch. Vartovník had to appropriately combine function with emphasis on family orientation of the hotel and its suitable incorporation into historical architecture of Spišská Sobota. After different studies the selection of building materials was clear – wood, metal and stone. It is a combination arising from nature and Celtic culture which was the part of the history of Spišská Sobota according to the archeological research. The used natural materials and Celtic spirit of hotel architecture caused that Hotel Sobota not only because it suitably incorporated into historical architecture of Spišská Sobota, but it also became the most distinctive family type hotel in the region.
